In order to make the protesters feel uncomfortable, bathrooms in the Freedom Square haven’t been open for a few days now. The owners of cafes in the vicinity don’t allow the protesters to use their bathrooms either. Yesterday the protesters gathered in the Freedom Square ensured during a conversation with “Aravot” that the absence of bathrooms poses serious inconveniences and troubles for the protesters, but it is not an excuse for discouragement. According to Knkush Melikyan, “We are forced to go to the houses of relatives or friends in the vicinity. Perhaps they want us to leave our excrements here, in order to say look what the Congress are doing.” According to protestor Malkhasyan, closing bathrooms, the authorities aimed at subduing them, making them fear and retreat, but it is not a solution to the problem. By the way, since the very first day of the rallies the street cleaners stopped cleaning the area, however the protesters keep their environment clean, saying, “This is our home and there is no resident of Ijevan, Masis or Yerevan – they are who want to divide us.”
