Gyumri festival at mayor’s business

This is one of the mansions of Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s elder brother Gevorg Ghukasyan; it emerged in downtown, in a park called “kalbasi sad” (park of sausage) 4 years ago through controversies and felling. As a result of one of the resident’s protest even a case was opened against the mayor’s brother last year for turning the green zone into a trade center. However, it came out that on the occasion of Gyumri Day mayor Ghukasyan invited ministers and other high-ranking officials from the capital for cutting the red ribbon of that very structure. Actually the Ghukasyans whose business prospers in downtown and who make a lot of money from children’s playhouse and children’s café think this is an expensive gift for residents of Gyumri and try to convince the Cabinet visitors that their business is a structure equal to the “Kumayri” reserve with its great social significance – a real ornament of Gyumri.
