Aravot.am was informed by Gagik Shamshyan that at around 4 pm October 31, the officers of the criminal investigation unit of the Tavush region department of police and the officers of the Ijevan unit brought Vazgen Ohanyan to the Ijevan police station, as a result of checking prompt information.
It turned out that at around 3 am October 30, V. Ohanyan entered one of the Aygestan Street houses through the open door and attempted to rape Susanna Beknazaryan, a 69-year old retired woman.
The latter shout out and called for help, after which Susanna’s grandson, 19-year-old Garush Khachatryan, entered Susanna’s room and Vazgen Ohanyan fled.
Susanna Beknazaryan got a forensic medical referral and Vazgen Ohanyan was released on his own recognizance.
The investigation unit of the Tavush region is preparing materials for the case.
