We have informed that yesterday at around 5.30 pm Suren Khachatryan (“Liska”), the governor of Syunik beat businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan up in the “Marriot” hotel. The department of information and public relations of the administration of the region of Syunik spread a message that “the news doesn’t correspond to the reality; it is made up, absolutely false and libelous.”
Silva Hambardzumyan said yesterday that she would report to the police today. A short time ago the businesswoman informed us over the phone that she hadn’t reported to the police yet, but she was summoned to the attorney’s office and there she would have her say. Silva Hambardzumyan said about Surik Khachatryan’s denial, “He is a hooligan, he can deny whatever he wants. What lie, if there were witnesses, one of which was even a citizen of the US who called the ambassador of his country afterwards and said that ‘there are hooligans in the ‘Marriot’ hotel and you advised me this hotel’?”
Silva Hambardzumyan said that some people were interested in the incident and even foreign journalists called her.
