November 18,2011 14:47

Today political scientist Hmayak Hovhannisyan, referring to the resignation of Hovik Abrahamyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly, stated at a press conference in “Varkats” club that “what President Serzh Sargsyan said as if quickly appointing the new Speaker of the National Assembly would be a breach of ethics shows that Hovik Abrahamyan has become the Chief of Staff not on his own initiative. If Hovik Abrahamyan did it on his own initiative, then what ethics are they talking about? Hovik Abrahamyan did not die, so they should not talk about who would succeed him and should not replace him till forty days’ requiem.”

In response to the question of Aravot.am what forces would be superior in the future parliament, what party would win what percentage of votes, Mr. Hovhannisyan said, “Only Aharon Adibekyan can count election fraud and include it in his calculations in our country – those are not predictions, those are basically revelations of the establishment’s scenario and Aharon knows to what extent the establishment will operate the machine of election fraud, they probably share their thoughts with him.” According to Hmayak Hovhannisyan, the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will one hundred percent win, in the case of fair election, “The Armenian National Congress (ANC) are not ready for the parliamentary election, but are ready for the presidential election.” The political scientist also said that he would participate in the election through proportional representation, if PAP offers him to.
