Hmayak Hovhannisyan makes a comment on Suren Khachatryan’s case
Today journalists asked Hmayak Hovhannisyan at “Varkats” (assumption) club to explain why Suren Khachatryan had not been punished, as opposed to former mayor Gagik Beglaryan. According to Hmayak Hovhannisyan, “This is neither the first nor the last time when outstanding figures of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) violate the law. When Samvel Alexanyan enters a market in front of his supermarket and asks ‘who allowed you to open a market near my supermarket’, the man goes ‘I have raised a loan, I also want to live, exist’, he goes ‘no, you must close it’ – those cases came to nothing, why should this one have consequences? Silva Hambardzumyan seems to be die-hard and opposed – if that market owner had opposed Samvel Alexanyan, his butt would have been kicked, and he would have been even killed.” Hmayak Hovhannisyan stated that if the videos revealed that Suren Khachatryan was guilty, those MPs who had been with him at the time and had given false testimonies should be necessarily punished.
