Harutyun Arakelyan to the Cabinet, “I don’t want to compare myself with David of Sasun, but they are exactly in the status of Tsran Vergo” (video)

November 21,2011 15:48

Today Harutyun Arakelyan, the chairman of Social Democrat Hunchakyan Party (SDHP), commented on the faxes filled with threats, sent to the Cabinet, at “Hayatsk” (view) club, “I haven’t blackmailed, I have demanded the enforcement of law, ending the illegalities. If one demands lawfulness, is it blackmail? It was a very weak move made by them to present it to the press as if ‘press, help, support, the Cabinet has received a fax’. If it is blackmail, there is a law on blackmail, please, enforce it.”

Harutyun Arakelyan also stated, “Faxes are presented partially. The parts they dreaded were not handed over to the press. The Prime Minister spread this on Friday and ran to Georgia as a milksop.” Let me mention on behalf of “Aravot” that the Prime Minister was already in Georgia when this message was spread.

According to the SDHP chairman, in August, when they held a forum, the Ministry of Justice did not verify their decisions crudely, “He said there are no dates, the pages are not numbered, we fixed all that, presented again, they did not verify it again – we thought, OK, never mind, we held the same forum on October 15 again especially for the ministry, they say again ‘you know, you shouldn’t have held 19th forum, you should have done 20th forum’, buffoonery should also have its limits. Now the Prime Minister has put me in an awkward position – he doesn’t verify my being the chairman through the Minister of Injustice. You say blackmail – when David of Sasun says who is asleep, awake and who is awake take your weapon, is it blackmail? I don’t want to compare myself with David of Sasun, but they are exactly in the status of Tsran Vergo.”
