Potential allies of the opposition

November 30,2011 12:42

As the Armenian National Congress (ANC) has completely gotten into Realpolitik, I offer the following observations as additional political analysis. In reality, not only Tigran Arakelyan and Vachagan Isoyan who ran into the fence in front of the Presidential Palace in protest, but also Margar Ohanyan and Hovik Tamamyan are prisoners of conscience. Being honest police officers deep in their hearts, they couldn’t resist Mongol-Tartar morals and were ready to join the national movement. When the establishment found that out, made-up charges were pressed against those devoted persons and they were isolated from the society. Now the sacred duty of all the relatives and friends of those two officers is to unite around ANC and achieve the release of those prisoners of conscience, in order that being freed, they may contribute to the fight against corruption. Certainly Surik Khachatryan is also a victim of political persecutions. The establishment’s agent Silva Hambardzumyan just provoked that pure gentleman to make movements with his hands and feet contradicting his nature. Mr. Khachatyan still has time to reassert the glory of a crystal clear figure, he is and to join those who fight criminal-oligarchic regime day and night.

The members of the National Commission on TV and Radio (NCTR) led by Grigor Amalyan are also potential allies of the opposition. Being the best representatives of the Armenian intelligentsia, they don’t spare effort to establish plurality and freedom of speech inArmenia. However, because of the establishment’s black PR we are under the impression that they do not allow “A1+” to broadcast. I am convinced that it is time for those free-thinking and independent figures to get rid of the image cunningly made up by the establishment and to publicly state about supporting the national movement.

Well, I don’t even mention the oligarchs. They just dream of the moment they will not be compelled to conceal their revenues and will pay all the taxes provided for by the law. Big businessmen desire to get rid of the monopolies as soon as possible offering other businesses the opportunity to fulfill the majority of their functions. They just have to oppose the establishment explicitly, showing their inherent honesty. I am convinced that this analysis will make the cracks inside the regime bigger and will bring the desired moment of reestablishing constitutional order closer.
