Today, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, talking about the industrial policy ofArmenia, directed to imports, during the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) economic seminar at “Tumo” technological center, stated that they had pursued right macroeconomic policy and have transferred to a new stage of progress. “Armenia, becoming a member of WTO, moves on by the rules of free economy. We had an essential stray in terms of macroeconomics and microeconomics.Armenia, being situated in a geopolitically complex region, deals with many risks that influence the economy greatly. We have a serious problem, to overcome poverty in the short-run. According to various assessments, it is reaching 30% and extremely poor people are around 15%.”
According to the Prime Minister, we have a problem also with labor force, “We have aging society, one of the reasons for which is that young migrants and more educated people who could get a job in foreign countries in a short period of time have leftArmenia.”
