The latest election inRussiawas not worse than previous elections or similar events in other countries of CIS, includingArmenia. However, the fuss after the previous election (certainly, rigged again) is hundredfold bigger for three main reasons – first, the social conditions have become worse, second, internet was not so developed 4-5 years ago and as a result there was no alternative to the television under pressure from above, third, the relations between Russia and the USA were not so tense at the time. Are these two factors alarming forRussia? Not yet. However, one cannot help but take that into account in the future. Furthermore, we should take that into account both in the context of our upcoming parliamentary election and the very Russian events.
Actual leader of Russia Vladimir Putin is an officer of the Soviet Security Forces, certainly, if he sees that there are some unpleasant processes going on in his country, his first idea is that those processes are organized from without. I.e. it doesn’t even occur to him that the Russian people are really dissatisfied with his rule and the recent election – he is convinced that the Americans and Hilary Clinton herself, the grantees, i.e. Judases, urge the people to take to the streets. This is not just propaganda – this is the conviction of Putin and his entourage.
Can one say that it is a one-hundred-percent delusion? Certainly, no. Obama’s administration and traditionally Democrats are more meticulous in terms of democracy, freedom of speech and fair elections. Besides, there is a rather heated argument between the Russians and Americans concerning the antimissile system. However, the thing is the agents ofAmericaor any other state will never become active, if there are no favorable conditions for that. And those conditions have certainly occurred because of the system that is commonly called “criminal-oligarchic”, but inRussiait appears in much larger scale. The society can be organized better than before thanks to the internet. The American, as well as European organizations do not create protests from nothing, they can just encourage what already exists. I don’t see any sign that the mentioned system will be eliminated. That’s the reason why, unfortunately, upheavals are unavoidable in that country in the next 10 years. And it is not in our interest at all.
