According to the comment of Vahe Sargsyan, an expert of “Mitk” (idea) analytical center, Turkey and Azerbaijan take such steps in Georgia and particularly in the south of that country that will result in that region suffering the same fate as Kosovo, Northern Cyprus, Western Armenia and a set of other regions in terms of demography. Today the expert expressed such a notion at “Armat” (root) club, speaking of the results of giving $1.7 million-worth ammunition by Turkey to Georgia for free.
“If Georgians doesn’t know the histories of Turkey and Azerbaijan, we know it quite well. Where a Turk is, there is cultural destruction, ruin and robbery”, said V. Sarsgyan.
According to the observation of military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the cooperation between Turkey and Georgia has not just started. According to him, although $1.7 million-worth ammunition is a small part of the overall armaments of Turkey, but NATO-Georgia cooperation is turning into Turkish expansion and following the main working style of NATO, Georgia is falling under the Turkish influence, “The Turkish military are serious instructors for the Georgian army; they lead trainings, provide them with goods, rearm airports etc.”
According to V. Sargsyan, this strategy of Georgia can result in Georgia disappearing as a state from the face of the earth in its present condition. He assessed the Turkish-Azerbaijani demographic, strategic and economic expansion as “Trojan horse on the Georgian territory.”

“Turkey and Azerbaijan lock themselves in Javakhk. Soon Akhalkalak will turn into a big business center, such a trade zone that doesn’t exist in the whole Caucasus and Azerbaijan and Turkey will trade there”, said V. Sargsyan and assured that a few years later they would see a big Azerbaijani village or settlement on the mentioned territory.
In response to a question whether Georgia did not realize these dangers, expert V. Sargsyan said, “Georgia is either not capable of resisting the Turkish and Azerbaijani pressure, or bribed, or else, as they put it, longs for the West, NATO.”
