Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Eric S. Rubin will visitBaku,Istanbuland Yerevan January 1 7-28. This will be his first visit toArmeniasince assuming duties as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State with responsibility for issues related toGreece,Turkey,Cyprus, and theSouthern Caucasus. During his visit, he will meet with civil society representatives and government officials.

In Armenia, Deputy Assistant Secretary Rubin will discuss U.S.-Armenian bilateral relations, the upcoming parliamentary elections, as well as our shared interests underlying cooperation in economic development and democratic reform.
