“Is our pain not the president’s pain?” the parents of the soldiers who had died in the army asked Vigen Khachatryan, the President’s Chief of Staff.
They asked V. Khachatryan outside the Government House to arrange a meeting with the president, “I assure you it is unnecessary to draw the attention of the president because of the fact that you have approached me, because the president of the republic knows the problem and the body that has to deal with it deals with it at his order. He is aware of your pain.” “The courts give us the runaround, no solution has been made for the past two years, they conceal the crimes”, responded one of the protesters. V. Sargsyan answered that it was a crime, if military prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan concealed any crime, “Gevorg Kostanyan is the most serious specialist in this field and it is his duty to solve the crime.”
Mr. Sargsyan left after a short conversation, after which the anger of the protesters doubled. “After this kid died that family has broken up. The mother is a psychopath at the mental house and the father is a second-degree disabled. He was the only male child in our family”, shouted Narek Galstyan’s aunt, claiming that 20 days had been left until demobilization; they had strangled him to death in an empty gas tank. “And respectful Mr. Kostanyan, whom the President’s Chief of Staff praised so much, saying that he was an unbiased man, if he is so unbiased, why haven’t they shown the soldier’s clothes to us?
