A1+ asked, “The Republican Party states that it will form the majority, as a result of the upcoming election, in your opinion, thanks to what?” “Vacuum cleaner”, was the answer of Vahan Hovhannisyan, the leader of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) National Assembly faction.
He also stated in this regard, “Compatriots, all those who think themselves too intelligent, all those who are tired, disappointed, who don’t have the wish, all those who ignore elections, don’t trust their results, think that their votes are ignored, I say to everyone ‘the one, who will not take part in the election, will vote for the establishment.’ Don’t lie to yourselves. The one, who will not take part in the election, will stay at home, because he is too lofty and writes a book, that man will vote for the establishment and don’t try to represent yourselves as if you are above some trivial debate. You will vote for the establishment by that, it is obvious for which party.”
Vahan Hovhannisyan also said that there were two mechanisms of getting those votes, one of which was money and if they bribed someone and he took the money, then the society was sick and one shouldn’t blame only the political force buying votes for that.
