Mkrtich Minasyan, an RPA MP, talked about the latest coalition statement at the Post Scriptum Press Club, stating that it was in the context of the memorandum. In response to a question whether an agreement had been reached between the coalition forces not to put forward candidates against each other, Mr. Minasyan said that the statement provided for holding a civilized, transparent and uncontroversial election and the relationship between the coalition forces should be not hostile, but competitive.
Predicting what results the RPA would achieve during the upcoming parliamentary election, the MP assured, “Surely we will get the most votes, there is no doubt about that.”
Tomorrow hearings will be held in the National Assembly in regard to the proportional and majoritarian representation. Talking about the mentioned electoral systems, the RPA MP spoke well of the majoritarian representation. However, when the journalists asked him to name at least five MPs elected through majoritarian representation who had worked well, he could hardly remember and name a few MPs. However, the spokesman did not mention any, to put it mildly, notorious MPs.

Speaking of not including businessmen known to the society in the RPA list, M. Minasyan observed, “There will be no such people on the party list, but people can be voluntarily nominated through the majoritarian representation, in accordance with the law, in which case, there can be no objection. One may endorse his candidacy or not.”
