During a conversation with Aravot.am, Ashot Bleyan, the principal of Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex, stated talking about internal issues, “Form is transient and it is normal. One shouldn’t forget that the pre-election period ends and we will enter the election process. I think that this year’s election will substantially differ from the 2007 parliamentary election. There wasn’t such an opposition that could change anything at that time, everything was predictable. The success of the Heritage Party was a bit surprising, but it didn’t change anything.”
Getting back to the activities of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Mr. Bleyan noted, “The RPA has mobilized all its capabilities, it means that it is anxious about something. It notices that the political stage is different, that it is not 2007, when everything was planned, anymore.”
As for speculations about second president Robert Kocharyan’s return, he said that they had become sticky like a gum. In Bleyan’s opinion, the second president will not return and Vartan Oskanian’s membership to the PAP puts an end to those speculations.
