During a conversation with Meruzhan Ter-Gulanyan, Aravot.am tried to find out what urban development meeting and what decision he had talked about the day before. He responded, “I am aware of that all. Yesterday before the show I called Grigor Azizyan from the Architects’ Sub-Commission of the Public Council to get information on the issue. He quickly responded and it seemed to me that the city hall would not confirm the decision of building pavilions. But it turned out that it wasn’t like that. Perhaps it was my innermost wish or poetic inspiration that the issue would be solved like that.”
We inquired from the poet what comment he would make on the city hall’s decision. Mr. Ter-Gulanyan responded, “According to the law, the city hall is right, since if an agreement was signed with people at the time, the agreement should be upheld. However, is it appropriate to erect those booths on the main avenue? It is not appropriate. The city hall should convince, call on them to build those booths in another place. Otherwise, there is no difference whether they were on Abovyan Street or on the main avenue.”
