Little Sarkozy’s Father Has Not Regretted

February 29,2012 14:44

Today www.aravot.am inquired from Karapet Avetisyan, a resident of Akhurik, whether he had regretted for naming his firstborn, who was born on January 25 in a Gyumri maternity home, Sarkozy after the French president, since the French Constitutional Council had found the bill banning the denial of the genocide unconstitutional yesterday. “No, I haven’t regretted, even if I regret, he is our kid, I cannot change his name, can I? Let me say, however, that I followed the news all day yesterday and I was convinced once again that Sarkozy is an Armeniophile, if he cannot make a pro-Armenian decision right now; I am convinced that he will not sit idly by, he will do something for sure. Although I have already heard that a new bill is being drawn up. If a man puts so much effort for us, why should I regret?” said newly-born Sarkozy’s father.

What do they call the kid at home while caressing? Do they call him Sarkozy or do they Armenianize it, however? “No, we call him Dear Sarkozy.” And does the name help the parents get help from different parties or French officials themselves? “No, we don’t get anything,” assured little Sarkozy’s father.

Let us remind that as soon as the baby was born, the Republican Party made the first gift, putting $200 under the baby’s pillow and showing all that on TV.
