“I Am Not in a Hurry, Why Are You in a Hurry?” Levon Ter-Petrossian Asks

Soon the Armenian National Congress first rally of this year will commence in Freedom Square. Let us remind that various figures of the Armenian National Congress have stated meanwhile that the main articles of the Armenian National Congress pre-election program will be represented at the rally.

Considerable number of people has gathered in Freedom Square at the moment. The people gathered have come with enthusiasm. Some of them said during a conversation with www.aravot.am that they believed that the congress would win the upcoming parliamentary election; at least, they were ready to do everything possible to guarantee the victory of the congress, since they perceived it as their own victory.

Sasun Mikayelyan and former Military Prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan are in the square at the moment and they are speaking with the people gathered. In response to people’s concerns, Gagik Jhangiryan told an interesting story, “We were talking with our president Levon one day and when we said we were late we should do it quicker, Leven looked at each of us in turn and said, ‘As I see, I am the oldest here. I am not in a hurry, why are you in a hurry?’” Adding, “We might not see a good country in five years, but all this is for our children and grandchildren.”
