The delegates of the 7th congress of the Heritage Party particularly warmly welcomed leader of the Free Democrats Party Khachatur Kokobelyan. The latter stated in his speech that his friends and he had come to the congress to reassert the fact that the Free Democrats had a long road to travel with the Heritage Party. According to him, Armenia is entering a new stage that will start with the National Assembly election campaign and will end very late, with the presidential election. “A situation has been created in Armenia for the first time, when the National Assembly election is not only a regular election, but also of historic importance in the sense that it will lay the foundation of leading Armenia in a new direction.” Kokobelyan added that the presidential election following the National Assembly will determine the path of the Republic of Armenia.
According to him, the Heritage Party has been able to adopt a new political culture and system of values on our political stage and to be in the center of the struggle for the past 5 years. Those who want to humiliate the Heritage party’s role and significance on our political stage, according to Kokobelyan, do that, because there are obvious facts, which prove the Heritage Party’s loyalty to democracy and the Republic of Armenia.
The leader of the Free Democrats also said that all those political forces that were concerned about the future of Armenia should show political will and wisdom to both jointly work without any ambitions and determine the future they envisage for Armenia in 2010-15 and should not confine themselves to only entering the National Assembly and making speeches.

Kokobelyan also expressed readiness to establish full cooperation with not only the Heritage Party, but also with political forces, the number one issue of which was to hold a free election in the Republic of Armenia.
