Aren’t Cell Phones Election Bribe? (Record)

March 07,2012 16:06

According to the information we have gotten, the Prosperous Armenia Party has been collecting the passport information of women in the Malatia-Sebastia community, in order to present them cell phones. www.aravot.am inquired from National Assembly Prosperous Armenia member Naira Zohrabyan whether the present prepared by their party wouldn’t be considered election bribe. “It doesn’t consist of any electoral elements, talking about bribe is just ridiculous. If the district office has prepared a present for the party women members, it is their right and it has nothing to do with pre-electoral processes. I suggest you don’t use the name of the PAP in such motivations – it is not the work style of our party.”

In N. Zohrabyan’s words, their party youths have congratulated women for years and will congratulate tomorrow on the Women’s Day, “They will hand out flowers, do you think it is also election bribe?”
