Today Richard Giragosian, the head of the ArmenianCenterfor Regional and International Studies, stated mockingly before the press conference at Golden Tulip Hotel that he had become a member of the PAP. After the press conference, www.aravot.am asked Mr. Giragosian whether that mock referred to Vartan Oskanian, who had become a member of that party recently or to the PAP. R. Giragosian stated in response that the PAP had become Robert Kocharyan’s camp. In response to a question whether he thought Robert Kocharyan’s nomination for the 2013 presidential election was possible, Mr. Giragosian said, “I doubt it. However, one thing is clear – there are people who are loyal to Kocharyan given their personal interest.” R. Giragosian thought it was interesting that the RPA had been continuously attacking the PAP, however, there had been no response. Then the political scientist added, “However, it is clear that the conflict gradually becomes more intense.”
