Before the presidential election in Russia, NTV had shown a movie that was called The Anatomy of Protest and breaching professional and ethical standards of journalism, it just gabbled about people protesting against the rigged Duma election. Pickets have been organized recently against NTV, the participants in which condemned broadcasting such “works.” That movie reminded of the “movies” shown by H2 in 2008 with its orientation, which tried to “prove” that Ter-Petrossian had organized the events of October 27, as well as that during the presidential inauguration, his hand was not on the Bible, but on the Talmud, while taking the oath. By the way, if it is investigated sometime in the future without political interest who provoked the events of March 1, that movie authors and broadcasters, I think, will be among those who provoked. The main argument of the Russian establishment, which it uses against the “platform” opposition, is that those protesting people are financed and coordinated by the American imperialism. Such hints were given also in our country in 2008, however more oriented to “Judaic Masonry.” Do you remember the story about the flag ofIsrael during a rally of the opposition? However, since such accusations seem totally ridiculous inArmenia, that topic was not encouraged.
While there is a “relative peace” in the field of propaganda, let us note that no external force – neither the US, nor Europe, norRussia– are interested in either an Orange Revolution or generally a tense situation in our country. In case of a victory of any political force or any other configuration, coalition, that has serious chances to appear in the parliament, the foreign policy ofArmeniawill not change – there is no madman on our political stage that would go beyond quite a narrow corridor given toArmeniaon the international arena. Therefore, no country or “power center” is interested in the fact that such and such wins the majority in the Armenian National Assembly. It is quite probable that propagandists will start creating myths about those things within the upcoming one and a half years, but it is an unserious and pointless thing to do. They had better focus on our internal problems without calling the Big Brother and on the other hand without threatening the society with that “brother.” At the end of the day, we with our minor intrigues are not particularly interesting for anyone.
