The increase in gas prices that took place the other day has nothing to do with the fact that the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition has imposed a 100-million-AMD fine on the CPS, a company that is the leader in the gas market, recently. Artak Shaboyan informed that the commission had started an examination in regard to the price increase, but it hadn’t found any serious violation yet and the examinations led to a conclusion that the increase in gas prices were caused by the increase in diesel fuel prices in the international market and the change in the exchange rate.
