Today actor Hovhannes Azoyan was also in Mashtots Park. He said that he was ready to join the activists fighting for dismantling the booths in the park and to participate in a sit-down strike with them one day.
As for his participation in the Armenian National Congress (ANC) rally yesterday, he said that a good citizen should be a citizen also in politics. He said that he liked the ANC list and he had been very pleased to be there, he had seen Khachatur Sukiasyan, “I would like him to be registered, because not registering him is a very unhealthy step taken by our establishment.”
In response to a question of www.aravot.am whether he had just started to like the ANC ideology, whether he had just voiced that, H. Azoyan said that he had always participated in the ANC rallies, but he had tried to be less noticeable, far from stages, “I was on the stage in 2008. I am free to make choices and to take actions… I have a free civic position, I am not a fundamental oppositionist, I am not a blind oppositionist, I am a rational man and TV companies respect me for that.”
