In the first quarter of this year, increase has been registered in a set of fields in our country, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS). Some diseases have registered increase, along with the increase in economic growth. Thus, last January-February, there were only 4 cases of AIDS infection, whereas in the same period of this year, there were 9. In January-February this year, 23 cases of AIDS were registered and there were only 8 cases in the same period of last year.
Let us mention that these diseases were registered, according to the NSS, among persons older than 0-14 years old. According to the same source, during the first two months of 2011, there has been no case of gonorrhea and in January-February this year, 3 cases were registered.
In January-February this year, as compared to the same period of last year, the number of acute intestinal infections has increased by 23 cases. Infections of upper air passages, which probably depend on weather conditions, have increased this year compared to the same period by 1,116 cases, from 12, 724 to 13,840. It is interesting that there are cases of lichen in the 21st century and they even increase. In the first two months of last year, 26 cases of this disease were registered and this year, 30 cases.
According to the NSS, there are diseases, the number of which has even decreased a little. For example, the number of virus hepatitis has decreased from 43 to 25. There were registered 16 cases of hepatitis A, as compared to 31 cases of last year. And hepatitis B has decreased by only one case, from 5 to 4, as compared to the same period.
The NSS has published a few other happy data too. This year started with a decrease in lousiness. This year the number of lousy people has decreased by 92 cases, from 151 to 59. In first two months of 2012, there were no cases of syphilis, whereas there were 3 cases in the same period of last year.
