A working consultation presided by Vladimir Gasparyan, the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, was convened today in regard to the upcoming National Assembly election.

Vladimir Gasparyan, the Chief of Police of theRepublicofArmenia, said that they had been warned about inaccuracies in the lists and other things.

He addressed the journalists, proposing to promote cooperation.

“Let me claim as a landlord, as a Chief of Police that we will be impartial, our approach will be supra-partisan, supra-political. Our functions will be from clarifying the lists to the security of candidates, polling stations and headquarters – fight against everything that will besmirch a fair election.” The Chief of Police informed that groups had been formed in all regions that tried to clarify where how many registrations were and how they worked.

“The most important thing that can impede us during pre-election, election and post-election processes, knowing the public moods, please, don’t exaggerate anything, don’t make any imaginary analyses. We will work much more accurate and clear,” said the Chief of Police, claiming that he would be personally responsible for not quickly responding to a warning. “I am personally responsible for conducting a peaceful and just election,” said the Chief of Police of theRepublicofArmenia.

There is no opposition, no pro-government forces for the police, there is the country and the state and there is only one interest – the interest of a fair election.
