MP candidates registered for the National Assembly election on May 6 and holding offices in state bodies have to be temporarily dismissed from offices before the end of the election campaign. This is provided for by Article 107, Paragraph 2 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia.

Armen Ghularyan, the governor of Tavush, is in the 65th place on the Republican Party of Armenia list for proportional representation. However, the governor has not gone on vacation. As the website of the Tavush administration (www.tavush.gov.am) informs, governor Ghularyan presided at the first meeting of the regional commission on coordinating work of drawing up land use temporary schemes, which voted and approved the change in the land use scheme of the community of Bagratashen.
