Ruben Hayrapetyan, a candidate for MP in no. 1 electoral district, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am that he was ready to help Styopa Safaryan, the Heritage Party candidate who had been nominated in the same electoral district and faced obstacles in terms of renting, rent headquarters.
We inquired from Mr. Safaryan whether he would accept Mr. Hayrapetyan’s proposal, “I am grateful for the proposal, we will discuss the offer, because they agreed to rent out other premises yesterday morning, but they refused yesterday evening. Even if I don’t see any intention, I see policy. It is obvious – to occupy all premises two months before, in order that the rival may not have any possibility. In this case, we don’t even want to focus on that. We have to hand out booklets – we can do that by the party buses. An extraordinary and incomprehensible situation has been created.” Mr. Safaryan said that he highly appreciated the rival’s proposal, but, “I don’t want that issue to be solved in that manner, when the candidate himself proposes. I would like that there was no such atmosphere, when people renting out premises would say that they would not provide them to an opposition party, because they were afraid and didn’t want to have problems. add or subtract anything from my life. I want to have a country, where people are not afraid to rent out their own premises by their own free will.”
