An incident had taken place in Abovyan, before the ANC election rally started. It was expected that the Prosperous Armenia Party members would protest and really some PAP activists started to shout that they didn’t believe anyone, everyone lied, that their pensions had not been paid. A crush and a clash happened among those who had gathered.
ANC members emerged, pushed the PAP activist out and said, “Shut up! When did you ask for pension, complained and didn’t get it?” That person responded, “Should I ask for the pension and then get it?”
In response to our question whether the PAP privatized Abovyan and the ANC didn’t have any electorate there, the activist confirmed, “Not only in Abovyan, but also in the whole region of Kotayk.” The ANC voters shut that man’s mouth by saying that he was talking, because he had benefits. Aram Manukyan interfered and asked not to argue, the PAP activist left and the rally began.
