“We Wait for the Prime Minister’s Response, Let Them Not Justify Themselves in Vain,” Levon Zurabyan Says

April 18,2012 14:47

Today www.aravot.am inquired from Armenian National Congress coordinator Levon Zurabyan whether he had already gotten a letter from the police that they would not give the list of the persons that were absent from the country to the joint staff. Yesterday Police Colonel Hovhannes Kocharyan, the head of the passport and visa department of the police, assured that they had already sent a response and they were not going to give such information, since they had referred to a wrong person, they should have referred to the National Statistical Service. Levon Zurabyan said that they hadn’t gotten any response yet, “We have also applied to the Prime Minister and there are no grounds for such a justification, let them not justify themselves in vain. The work of other state bodies is coordinated by the Prime Minister, therefore, he can give an answer. We are looking forward to the Prime Minister’s response.”

In response to our observation that the police colonel had assured that the data of the statistical service would be summarized in October 2012, therefore, the Prime Minister would most probably give such an answer, Mr. Zurabyan said, “If you are so close to the Prime Minister and know what he will answer, it is a different matter, but let us not be guided by assumptions. When he answers us, we will see how we will respond.”
