ARF Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamyan stated in Gavar today, “Although April 24 is a day of election campaign and every party wants to do election campaign a day more, the ARF will stop its election campaign on that day. We will not do election campaign on that day.” Rustamyan also called on the other political forces, “Let our people unite around their great struggle for the sake of solving Hay Dat issues, for the sake of the commemoration of the Genocide victims on that day, because those victims demand that, saying ‘put aside your controversies and unite, become one body, one team for the sake of national issues.’”
Rustamyan also mentioned that on April 24 that “was the greatest day of unity for the ARF, when we did everything to make Armenians from different parts of the world, regardless of their membership in parties, unite at least on that day for the sake of national goals, for the sake of common struggle, in order that that common struggle may not split.”
