Today, before the Armenian National Congress (ANC) rally, we asked Levon Zurabyan to make a comment on Hmayak Hovhannisyan’s statement, according to which, the ANC attitude toward Gagik Tsarukyan had improved after he had refused to buy Khachatur Sukiasyan’s Bjni. He responded in this regard, “No comment.” He gave the same response when journalists asked him to make a comment on Serzh Sargsyan’s call for endorsing the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) candidates in some electoral districts. “I talk so much, I give 3 interviews every day, it is enough,” explained Levon Zurabyan.
Mrs. Parandzem, mother of the first victim of the Artsakh War, Edik Torozyan, came to the ANC rally with a bouquet. She told during a conversation with us how her benefit had been cut, “I am the one who burnt Kocharyan’s picture in Tsitsernakaberd, I burnt Serzh’s picture too. What have I seen from this government – nothing good. They used to give me some hope, they have cut that hope too – they used to give me 10 thousand a month, they have cut that too.”
In response to our question whether they were not afraid that they would be put under pressure too, they would lose their jobs, the rally participants said, “They have healed our fear already,
what shall we be afraid of? Let the government be afraid of this robbery, we don’t have any fear after the events of March 1. If we had been afraid, they would have brought us here by buses, but we have come of our own free will. We are not Serzh’s school teachers, now are we?”
