With Free Ice-Cream and Coca-Cola for the Sake of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)

Last Friday, April 20, in the evening a meeting of residents of  Yerevan originally from Tavush, mostly from Ijevan, took place in the children’s park in front of Sevan Hotel of Yerevan and was organized by businessman Ghevond Ghalumyan and governor of Tavush Armen Ghularyan’s brother Ashot. The number of overall participants was 300. The people present were handed out free ice-cream and Coca-Cola, folk song and dance ensembles performed. Levon Martirosyan, an assistant to the President of the Republic of Armenia who is of Ijevan origin, also participated in the meeting.

The spokespersons – Manvel Badalyan, the chairman of the Civil Service Council, Koryun Atoyan, the rector of Yerevan State Economic University, and Koryun Arakelyan, the deputy chairman of the National Unity Party – talked about the necessity to support the RPA and Serzh Sargsyan in the upcoming election.

Manvel Badalyan and Koryun Atonyan are originally from the district of Berd, Koryun Arakelyan from Ijevan.

The participants in the meeting told Aravot’s correspondent that they had surely not accepted the overemotional speech made by the deputy chairman of the National Unity Party who had

formerly appeared as an ardent oppositionist. K. Arakelyan also praised governor Armen Ghularyan who was not present at the meeting.
