Today Aram Sargsyan, the Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA) leader, called bringing tractors to villages as a gift during the election campaign “new nonsense” in the village of Azatan, region of Shirak. “Have you ever seen anywhere that it is written the Prosperous Armenia Party or any other name and tractors are put under it? What does a party have to do with handing out tractors? What does a political party have to do with such activities? Who has paid for it? If the party itself has, then say that such and such has bring them and realizes, one can understand that it is a violation of the law. They teach by this, the people look and see that one can grab something in a certain way, they think ‘let us grab something now, all the same, they will not give us on a different occasion,’ therefore, they think they may take more valuable things than jams as a gift now, since elections are not held every year. This is just corruption; this is obvious corruption of our people. There is no harmonious country and people in an immoral social system,” said the DPA leader.
According to Aram Sargsyan, all this is a result of the fact that the coalition parties are not convinced that they will be able to ensure their majority in the parliament, therefore, they fight personally for every vote.
