Some candidates for MP and almost every political party have gotten a warning from Yerevan City Hall for “occupying” walls, posts or advertisement boards provided for them. If they repeat the violation, they will pay administrative fine in the amount of 100 times the minimum wage. In response to a question of www.aravot.am what violations had been revealed and how the violators had been punished, since even not being a specialist, one could assert that candidates and parties had committed violations in terms of pre-election advertisement, Araz Baghdasaryan, the head of the external design and advertising department of the city hall, said that candidates for majoritarian representation mainly violated the law. According to the city hall official, during the election campaign, the ARF, the RPA, the PAP and the ANC have taken more space on the boards than was provided for them. Besides the space, all these parties have committed violations also in terms of amount. However, no one has been fined yet, “The community has deterred violations on its own, however, in case of repetition, administrative punishment will be imposed on them.”
