The Rain Drove a Wedge Between the Residents of Davitashen and Serzh Sargsyan

April 28,2012 18:41

The pre-election meeting of Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the President of the Republic of Armenia, was due to take place in the community of Davitashen of the capital today, but the place of the meeting was moved from Tigran Petrosyan Square to No. 189 School located in the vicinity. Aravot’s reporter didn’t manage to attend the meeting, but the people that had come to the meeting and hid under the covers of markets to shelter from the rain said to our reporter that the collectives of schools and kindergartens and their students had been forced to come to the meeting. After getting soaked in the rain, people were just running away. There were speculations that people from other communities had been brought by buses and the buses had been parked in backyards so that they might not be seen.

People even made jokes that it was very good that it had rained, “It serves Serzh right, Serzh deserves the worse…”
