The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Denies Allegations of Voting Instead of Others

May 06,2012 19:15

In response to a question of www.aravot.am which of the published electoral violations had been confirmed after the CEC examinations, commission chairman Tigran Mukuchyan said, “There were cases, when there were more than 15 people in the polling station, an order was made immediately and the flow was stopped, there was a case, when two people wanted to vote together, but members of the commission prevented it.”

We inquired from Mr. Mukuchyan whether the CEC had responded to the cases of voting instead of others – let us remind that there is information that in a polling station, a citizen found out that someone had already voted in his stead – Mr. Mukuchyan said that there was no such information even on news websites.
