At the moment, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has summarized the election results from 1942 polling stations, which, although preliminary, will probably not change substantially, judging from the experience of the previous election. According to the preliminary results, the order of parties that got the most votes and will appear in the National Assembly is the following: the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) – 44.05%; the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) – 30.25%; the Armenian National Congress (ANC) – 7.09%; the Heritage Party – 5.77%; the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) – 5.72%; the Rule of Law Party (RLP) – 5.49%.
This means that only according to the lists for proportional representation, the PAP will have almost 27 MPs in the new convocation of the National Assembly, the RPA 40, the ANC 6-7, the Heritage Party 5-6 and the RLP 5.
In the new convocation of the parliament, the Heritage Party will be represented, according to the list of that party for proportional representation, by Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovhannisyan, Free Democrats Party leader Khachatur Kokobelyan, National Assembly member Zaruhi Postanjyan, member of the Free Democrats Party and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Arzumanyan, Heritage Party deputy chairman Ruben Hakobyan and Tevan Poghosyan, at best.
Former MPs of this party Stepan Safaryan, Anahit Bakhshyan, Armen Martirosyan, let alone Larisa Alaverdyan will not enter the National Assembly.
