According to our information, on the Victory Day, May 9, a 57-58-year-old man by the name of Ashot living in one of the Red Cross buildings in the neighborhood of Ani, Gyumri, died as a result of a skirmish and fight. According to rumors, Ashot has had an affair with his Ukrainian neighbor for many years, not being sober that day, he, so to say, offended that woman who complained to her husband. The latter got drunk in his turn and engaged in an argument with Ashot. In a nutshell, they had a fight at the entrance of the building, pushed each other, Ashot slapped his neighbor in the face, the latter pushed him, as a result of which he fell on the stairs and lost consciousness. They immediately transported Ashot to the Gyulbenkyan Surgery Hospital of Gyumri, where he died not recovering consciousness. Workers at the hospital informed www.aravot.am that the victim had an injury, in medical terms, not compatible with life. Let us mention that Ashot’s wife was dead, he had three children, two daughters and one son, one of the daughters is married, the other is of school age and her father took care of her. And the son has left for Russia as a guest worker. We have managed to find out that the neighbors also have 3 children. A criminal case was opened in the investigation
department of the region of Shirak for causing an accidental death, the man who pushed Ashot has been arrested, although let us mention that we haven’t managed to find out the names of the neighbors and other details yet. Arayik Darbinyan who investigates the case has been unreachable the whole day. We will come back to this topic in the short run, as soon as we get the details.
