On May 19, at 6 p.m., the Museum Night, which Armenia will also join, will commence all over Europe for the 8th time already.
The European Night of Museums has been organized since 2005 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture and sponsored by the Council of Europe, UNESCO and ICOM.
This is not the first time the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia has confused the logos on the poster of the Museum Night and has put the logo of the EU instead of the logo of the CE and the logo of the UNESCO is not on the poster at all.
During a press conference today, Arev Samuelyan, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, has mixed everything up too. She noted, in particular, “The European Union has announced The Museum Night event under the heading Museums in a Changing World.” By the way, not the European Union, but the International Council of Museums (ICOM) has announced that.
