Today Marine Petrosyan, a writer and a publicist, blamed Tigran Kocharyan, an expert in information security, for organizing a march against the pluralism parade organized yesterday in regard to the World Day for Cultural Diversity declared by the UN. Petrosyan noted that she didn’t know for sure who the organizer of the anti-march was, but she pointed out Tigran Kocharyan as an implementer.
Responding to the accusations voiced, Kocharyan said during a conversation with www.aravot.am, “I was related to that anti-march insofar as I came to voice my protest. It is clear that I know many people there, so, given my experience, age, cold-bloodedness, I tried to do so that there was no provocation, the anti-march was held normally. I am satisfied, because everything went on normally, despite minor incidents, no one was beaten up, nor was anyone burned.”
Kocharyan assured, “I am not the organizer of the anti-march,” and added, “I will not respond to Marine Petrosyan’s ravings – she has involved some Russian KGB, demanded a report on my phone calls, I will not respond to such things, because she is a woman. If she had been a man, I would have behaved differently, but since she is a woman, let her be in her world of ravings. Perhaps, she is a good writer and a good publicist, but I think it is wrong to engage in politics and express ideas on everything.”
As for the statement of the Public Information and Need of Knowledge (PINK) NGO that the young men mixed up the pluralism march with a “gay parade,” Tigran Kocharyan added, “PINK has not been able to explain clearly so far what their action was dedicated to, what it was for etc. They themselves don’t understand what they have done. And I saw elements of propagandizing homosexuality in the pluralist parade. And as a Christian, a citizen of this country, I am against ideas that are imposed on our nation.”
