www.aravot.am inquired from Galust Sahakyan, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) deputy chairman, what would be their future moves after the final decision of the PAP not to form a coalition. Mr. Sahakyan responded, “We decided our future moves, our strategy long ago and we don’t have to decide our future moves now.” In response to our question whether it didn’t matter at all whether the PAP would or would not join the coalition, since a presidential election was ahead of us, Mr. Sahakyan said that all political forces mattered, “Before elections, every political force decides itself its principles and acts in accordance with those principles.” We tried to get clarification, whether this decision of the PAP was on principle, he responded yes.
In response to our question whether the Republican Party would try to put the PAP under pressure using administrative leverage after this, Galust Sahakyan said the following, “Forget about it! The RPA will put no political force under pressure and it doesn’t matter whether it is oppositional or not.”
