Political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan thinks that it is too early to say whose candidacy the PAP will nominate in the presidential election. According to the political scientist, there are different versions, the party leader may be nominated, he may not be nominated, but endorse the candidacy of the current President of the Republic of Armenia. “This depends on what political bargaining will take place then and not now,” the political scientist said during a conversation with www.aravot.am.
Mr. Iskandaryan considered the involvement of Robert Kocharyan in the decision of the PAP not to form a coalition improbable, “No, he has nothing to do with that. If it had been so, the decision would have been made at once and it was obvious that there were negotiations and bargaining.” According to the political scientist, the PAP didn’t join the coalition, because the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) didn’t satisfy its demands.VOICE190
