“Stability in the country can be achieved only by a serious, responsible political force, I don’t think that populist statements and putting forward unreasoned cosmopolitan programs are justified. The people think and assess more a political force that ensures stability and peace and realize already that there are forces that just want to please the people by populist statements,” Mkrtich Minasyan, a Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP, said in response to a question of www.aravot.am whether the society pinned hopes on the economic policy of the RPA.
In response to our observation that ANC representatives promised that many legislative proposals would stick in the Cabinet’s throat in the fall, Mr. Minasyan remarked, “Dear friends, if you have anything to say and if our statehood needs that thing and who said that we would oppose good things, why should it stick in the throat? If you took a vow, keep that vow. Let’s work for the sake of something and not to destroy or castigate.”
