“Such cases cannot be cooked up or have political motives,” Hohannes Sahakyan, a member of the RPA council said, talking about the latest developments concerning the PAP members, particularly the interest of the law-enforcement bodies in former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vartan Oskanian and the activities of the foundation established by him and the criminal case opened on the grounds of “money laundering.”
Sahakyan thinks that the political system in Armenia is matured and charges on political motives and persecutions are a thing of the past, “The system that was adopted thanks to the will of our political team and the right to freedom of speech and avoiding political persecutions are matured today. If someone tries to conceal it, I don’t think it is right.”
He thinks that one should not rush into comments and assessments, “I think that it is the business of law-enforcers and when they make their final assessment of the nature of the case, it will be worth making political comments.”

is not particularly concerned about the refusal of the PAP to join the coalition, “We are separate political teams and have our programs, paths, visions, aims and opinions. Those political teams that share that program concerning the 2013 presidential election, in particular, and are with us are welcomed by us and accepted. If not, it is a separate team that is guided by its program.”
