Salbi Ghazaryan, the director of the Civilitas Foundation, was summoned to the National Security Service for interrogation, but she refused to answer the questions. S. Ghazaryan told www.aravot.am about this, “The statement of the National Security Service (NSS) explicitly read that the Civilitas Foundation had violated the law and had committed a series of violations – submitting a report etc. – as if I was not a witness anymore, but a suspect, therefore, according to the international law, I am not compelled to appear as a witness. I didn’t answer the questions.”
The meeting with 8 ambassadors yesterday, in Ms. Ghazaryan’s words, doesn’t testify to their anxiety, despite the fact that they initiated the meeting with the ambassadors, “It seems to us that this is a very serious move, which the government has made and it is important that we can explain the overtones of this to the ambassadors. We thought it was our obligation to inform them and the fact that so many of them came and at that level means that they were also interested how such a disgraceful thing could happen.”
