Natig Javadli, a journalist of Bizim Yol (meaning “our way”) of the Azerbaijani opposition National Front Party, appearing as an expert during public hearings that took place on June 16 in the village of Tekali, district of Marneuli, Georgia, said, “The Karbakh subject has become the monopoly of governments in Armenia and Azerbaijan. Although there is a political institute in Armenia – parliament – where that issue is discussed. The last public discussion in Azerbaijan on the Karabakh issue was held in 2001. Azerbaijan has vital problems, but the main problem is Karabakh.”
The Azerbaijani journalist thinks that the Karabakh conflict can be solved when democratic and legitimate governments are formed in the two countries and that the international community should contribute to the democratization process in the two countries.
