June 19,2012 15:13

The small number of members from Shirak in the newly-elected National Assembly has been added to another one today – Rule of Law Party (RLP) member Hovhannes Margaryan has also become an MP.

Let us remind that he struggled against Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member Ashot Aghababyan through majoritarian representation at no. 33 electoral district, which included villages of Ashotsk and Amasya and the center of Gyumri, however, losing he has become an MP through the RLP list for proportional representation.

Hovhannes Margaryan, the most active MP, according to the results of the monitoring carried out in 2009-2010, has become an MP for the third time. The newly-elected MP has just said during a conversation with www.aravot.am, “I am very grateful to my voters, the RLP leader and party members, for trust – the disaster area will have its MP for yet another time. Although some cheap scribblers try to publish cheap articles that people achieve an office in the executive or legislative body as a result of an auction in the RLP – the reality shows that the RLP is the political force, Artur Baghdasaryan is the leader who has always

proved that his decisions are fair, incorruptible both humanly and morally. The work of a party member in the team struggle is in the spotlight. Although the party is small, it has done everything to have an MP from Gyumri. Merits are never bought through an auction here, I have become an MP without spending a penny.”

The Central Election Commission has given the MP his mandate.
