Today Samvel Farmanyan, a Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP elected from no. 3 electoral district through majoritarian representation, meeting Armenian National Congress (ANC) MP Levon Zurabyan in one of the corridors of the National Assembly, said, “Tell your victorious candidate to come and collect his posters, his posters are still there.”
He was certainly talking about Vladimir Karapetyan who was nominated for MP in the same electoral district and whom the ANC perceives as victorious and elected. In response, Mr. Zurabyan said, “You tell, I am not a mailman, am I? You collect!”
Samvel Farmanyan stated that he was just asking as a friend, “When you see him, communicate it to him. You talk about law and according to the law, the one who pasted the posters must collect them.” Although Mr. Zurabyan had stated that he would be Vladimir Karapetyan’s representative in the National Assembly, he didn’t even promise that he would communicate Farmanyan’s words to Vladimir Karapetyan, “Listen, there is Facebook, there is email, if you have something to say, tell him.” As for being Vladimir Karapetyan’s representative, Mr. Zurabyan clarified, “I am his representative for citizens.”
